I am a compassionate mental health professional who creates a safe, non-judgmental space for individuals to feel heard, understood, and supported while developing emotional resilience and healthier coping strategies at their own pace.
Riya has gained extensive clinical exposure through both curriculum-based and additional training experiences. She has completed internships at Ramaiah Medical College and Mind and Brain Hospital as part of her academic curriculum, where she was involved in assessment, observation, and therapeutic support within multidisciplinary settings.
Beyond curriculum requirements, she completed additional clinical training at Akshadhaa Foundations, further strengthening her hands-on experience in mental health care. She has also engaged in fieldwork at Manna Center for Special Needs School, which enhanced her understanding of developmental and special education needs.
Committed to continuous professional development, Riya has completed multiple online certificate courses related to clinical psychology and mental health. Her academic and research interests culminated in a research study titled “Impact of Self-Esteem, Perceived Stress, and Humour Among Young Adults,” which was presented and published through Springer as part of the Krisym Silver Jubilee International Conference 2025.
Riya’s therapeutic style is client-centred, collaborative, and empathetic. She focuses on understanding each individual’s unique experiences and emotional patterns before guiding them with appropriate techniques and strategies. Rather than offering quick fixes, her work emphasizes insight, self-awareness, and gradual change. Sessions are paced according to the client’s comfort, allowing space for reflection, emotional safety, and personal exploration. Her approach integrates assessment-informed understanding with practical, real-world coping tools to support lasting emotional well-being.
